Windows 7 Upgrade is for people who are already running Windows XP or Windows Vista and want to upgrade to Windows 7. It is less expensive than the full version of Windows 7, but you must have a legal license for XP or Vista. (Note: Only Vista, you can) an upgrade from the truth, with XP, the license can use upgrade, but have to quit the current installation of Windows during the installation.
Windows 7 is for a new installation on a normal PC without a license of Windows.
Just install the upgrade of the existing facility. Check the installation checks whether you have an earlier version of Windows before being allowed to continue the installation. Sometimes Microsoft will give a discount from an upgrade to another version, but you must prove you have the older version is usually an installation CD is proof enough. The full version is not necessary to already have a version of Windows before installing.
For Windows 7, you probably have a qualifying version of Windows Vista to manufacturing in possession. See the information below.
The only difference is that you have installed a copy of XP or Vista, you need the update.
This means that if you ever need to bring a fresh installation of Windows 7 using the latest, I think I need to reinstall XP or Vista, or at least have the product key handy for the previous operating system.
Because they often tend to install, I have the extra money and went with the lack of update. This makes things easier for me. But for most people the upgrade is very good.
* Note: * Only people can officially Vista "upgrade" to 7 You may issue a clean install of XP.
The full version can be the installation of two stop in case of transfer of the operating system.
The updated version will cost only about two thirds of the price of the original version.
